Tackle it Tuesday, but really Wednesday

Ok, so I can't post what I tackled yesterday because it is a surprise for someone. But don't worry, once the surprise is over, I'll share. So I'll share what I tackled tonight instead.

Carl has been traveling a LOT, and there is no end in site for awhile. I've decided to do something I should have done a long time ago, have two of my nieces over. Now, while I say I should have done it...I really didn't have a chance. They are two of the busiest 11 and 13 year old girls I know. But sports and school are out for the summer, so I am grabbing some quality time!

So tonight I had a few things to get done. I wanted to get the house all clean, because I won't be home tomorrow night. So I deep cleaned the hardwood floors and the downstairs half bath. Then I put together four options for them to choose from. Tomorrow, I will ask them to pick one and then once they do, I can narrow down exactly what we'll do/make.

Out on the town
Dinner: We go out to dinner- they pick restaurant
Activity: Bowling
Evening: Bake something for breakfast

An Evening In
Dinner: We make dinner together- their choice
Activity: A night of baking goodies
Evening: Movie of their choice and card/board games

A Little Bit of This, A Little Bit of That
Dinner: Go out to dinner: they pick restaurant
Activity: Baking goodies
Evening: Movie and Wii Playing

Girly Girl Night
Dinner: I'd make a fancy dinner for them- use the dining room and all :)
Activity: Go get pedicures
Evening: Watch chick flicks and eat popcorn

Then Saturday morning, we have my sister's shower. Since taking a picture of clean floors isn't all that exciting, I'll share the baby invite I made for her shower. I changed some of the information to keep her privacy. The shower is baseball themed as they both love the sport. It looks better than this printed...obviously...but you get the idea.
