Is Your House a Mess?

I mean really a mess? Why am I asking you say? Um, well, because mine is. I'm not kidding. And this isn't like, oh I haven't vacuumed in a week. This is probably the messiest our house has been in a year. Between my work schedule last week, birthday festivities, and then going to Nashville for the weekend (more on that later), I have had NO time to clean, which explains my lack of posting. So, my goal is to get my house back in shape this week. Head to toe...er Roof to basement maybe? Join me this week while I take my house from embarrassing to sparkling :)

Want a little proof?

This is really just the tip of the iceberg. And while it just shows some clutter, trust me there is dust and grime. So tonight, I am going to really get down to business.

Tuesday:
  • Clean up all the clutter- no point in really cleaning things until everything is in it's home...this includes finding new homes for birthday presents :)
  • Do all or as much of the laundry as possible- this includes some winter blankets that I *think* can be put away- crossing my fingers!
  • Clean out the fridge- I did a very light grocery shop yesterday since we had NO food, but it really needs a good cleaning so I can do a bigger grocery shop later this week
That's it for tonight, unless I get it done faster than expected, which I highly doubt. HIGHLY. But if your house is a mess, feel free to play along this week, and we will get our houses in order together :) I'm not the only one with the pigsty right? Please tell me I'm not alone :)

P.S. Oh, and thanks for the concern about the camera. It was actually only "lost." It was just at my inlaws'. But I have it back now, and all is well!

  3. Our house is a mess, and we're about to go on vacation...so cleaning is a necessity as I hate to come home to a dirty house.

  4. Mary Beth- exactly! And Carl didn't understand why I was so distraught at the thought of leaving our house the way we did before Nashville. And I haven't forgotten about your request- just been busy!

  6. Hope your birthday week was good! and YES! My house is a disaster... it seems last week just flew by with no time for anything but messing up the entire house. I'll clean with you! In the AM I will be
*tearing the bedroom apart and putting a new to us tv stand in.
*actually do all the dishes.. instead of what we need to eat.. not kidding and SO SAD!
    *fold clean clothes
    *deep clean bathroom
    *actually do all daily chores

    Glad you found your camera!
