It's Time It's Time! 10 Week Happy House Cleaning Challenge!

It's about time we got back to the business of cleaning right? Well, we're getting serious folks. It's time for the 10 Week Happy House Cleaning Challenge. It'll be run very similarly to the last one, but stick around for a few change ups and twists along the way. I promised I would make it fun, and you know me...I don't like to disappoint! The beginning starts just like before, so no new surprises here...let's get down to business!

Almost two years ago, my house was a disaster. The wedding was over, remnants were all over the house, our dining/living room was empty as we hadn't found any furniture we liked, and clutter was invading every nook and cranny. It was what is my now current nightmare. Seriously. So why am I telling you this? Because not long ago, I was a freaking mess, and having a clean & organized house was a daunting thought. But after a few habit changes, we've got a smoothly running, organized, clean house that I love.

I realize that it takes time. It's not just a wave of a wand and poof- here's a clean, organized house with a red ribbon tied around it. So, we're getting back to the basics. Back to where I started when I realized I was done being a mess. Every Thursday for the next 10 weeks we will add a new daily task. Something that should be done every day and doesn't take more than a few minutes. By the end of the 10 weeks, you'll be spending less than an hour throughout the day, and the reward will be worth that small amount of time! The longer you do it, the less time you'll spend. Plus, it will become a (here comes one of my favorite words) routine, and you will hardly realize you are doing the tasks.

Your clean, organized, red ribbon tied up house is only 10 short weeks away. How can you turn that down? You can't! Are you ready to join me? I know my house is ready for some attention. If so, read on. Join me as we fight the dirty together one step at a time

WEEK 1: Make Your Bed
Seems like a simple task, right? I know it doesn't make a HUGE difference in how clean your house is, but it gets you off on the right foot. Leave your bedroom looking neat and tidy in the morning and you are bound to keep that can do attitude going. Plus, I love climbing into a nicely made bed after a long day. siiiiiiiiigh, bed.

So every day, make sure you make your bed. And if you run out of time in the morning- just do it when you get home from work. I won't tell. We'll check in next Thursday (and each following Thursday) to see how you did on this challenge and add a 2nd one to the list!

P.S. Don't forget to tell me you are joining in the comments. If you were around last time, you know commenting on the challenge could pay off. If you weren't around last time...well you can either trust me...or search the archives ;)

P.S.S Don't forget to add the awesome Happy House Cleaning Challenge button to YOUR blog!! The code is at the top of the page on the right. How cute is he? I love that his red ribbon looks like a sweatband. Adorable. (Big ups to my friend Shelly who so graciously helped me with the button!)

Any questions? Alright. Let's go! And make your bed tomorrow :)
