We don't want to pour a bunch of money into the bathrooms quite yet, but the brass fixtures and yellow paint weren't floating our boats. So while this wasn't a big change, it was a necessary one. The very first thing we bought for our house was 3 new white toilet seats, and that's when we realized our guest bath has a tan toilet :/ and that's when my white, black and gray guest bath went out the window. New plan revolved around the shower curtain and coordinated with the guest room.
First, the before. Ugh.
And I don't have a picture of the light fixture in there, but it's the same as this lovely:
And the after:
(ok, before you go on, I need to be sure we are on the same page here. This is not a remodel! Just little updates that make a nice visual difference. Ok, now that I've explained this you can go on, but if you are disappointed with the amount of change, I have to say, it's your own fault ;) )
*You can click on the pics to see the details a little larger.
So, what did we do?
Changed out the following brass items to brushed nickel:
*Doorknob and hinges
*Light fixture
*Hand towel ring holder
*Bath towel bar
*Toilet handle
*Toilet paper holder
Painted the walls- Color is Snow Drop by Ace, Flat Eggshell
Painted the ceiling white
New shower rod to coordinate with the other fixtures
The wall color is a little hard to see, but it is a very pale blue- same as the guest room. Those pictures are a little easier to see since there is a window in the bedroom and it had natural light.
What's left to do?
*Possibly swapping out the countertop. It's not a huge priority right now though.
*A new faucet, I just haven't decided what I want there.
*A new mirror, again, haven't decided what I want. We may just frame out the current one.
