Tackle It Tuesday: Pick Up (Insert # Here)

It's Tuesday! Don't be The Masked Procrastinator! Use a little time today to do some cleaning. Here's a good one that doesn't even have to take place on Tuesdays, rather, use it any time of the week when you are feeling like the house could use a little pick up. Take your age, divide by 2 and pick up that many items/do that many small tasks. Here are some of the ones I'll be using for my 13 items when I'm feeling restless.

  • Water the plants
  • Gather the dirty dishes left around the house
  • Put the dishes in the dishwasher
  • Unload the dishwasher
  • Start a load of laundry
  • Put away a load of laundry
  • Take some time to match up the mismatched socks!
  • Tidy up couch cushions and pillows
  • Fold and put away blankets
  • Put away daily clutter
  • Clean the coffee pot
  • Clean out and organize a cupboard
  • Dust a room
  • Vacuum a room
  • Wash a window (do the whole house, you'll get to your number in no time!)
  • Pick up kids' toys (better yet, play the same game with them- age/2 = how many toys they pick up!)
  • Get your lunch ready for the next day
  • Clean out your purse/briefcase/gym bag
  • Wipe down switch plates and door knobs in a room
  • Empty the garbage/recycling
  • Clean out your make up drawer/bag
  • Clean your jewelry (I have some severely neglected silver that is dying for some attention!)
  • Drink a glass of water (what? we all could use more water, right?)
Is that enough to get you going? It is for me. I did this on Sunday night, and I have to tell you, when I woke up on Monday morning, I felt pretty good. Oh, and you odd numbered ladies...round up. Come on, you know you can find one more thing to tackle! Try doing it on Tuesdays and one other day out of the week, you'll be tidied in no time!
