Monday Morning Weekend Roundup

I know, I didn't plan on Friday, but I did. Promise. Just not on here. However, before I get to my round up, I'm going to make a promise to all of you this week. I am going to make the blog a priority this week. So I promise to post at least 3 times in the next 4 days, so long as you promise to come back and visit ;) So be sure to check back in, or see me in your reader, or whatever works for you!

So, the weekend. It was good, satisfactory and yummy.

Friday:
Sushi & Furniture Date night- we are placing the order for our new family room furniture tomorrow. The order is all set, we just have to tell them to pull the trigger. Although, we brought home the new drapes and rods. We're still trying to decide if we like the color we went with, but perhaps I should post that and let YOU all chime in! We dined on some sushi, yay for Lent and no meat- yum part I.

Saturday:
I cleaned the office as part of the New Year Happy House Challenge and Carl and I both worked on the drapes. It's amazing what a project they can be. Then we watched my nieces' basketball game- they won :) and then went to my parents' house for dinner- yum part II.

Sunday:
Church and waffles and bacony, cheesy eggs afterward- yum part III. Then we did maintenance cleaning, which I've gotten it down to about 90 minutes for the week. I'm finding new ways to fit cleaning in as my schedule is hardly scheduled lately. Then we went to Carl's parents' house for dinner- yum part IV.

So that was about it. A lot of eating. A lot of cleaning. A lot of shopping. Satisfactory for sure. How about you? Have you set any goals for this week? I know mine is to work on the closets as part of the Happy House Cleaning Challenge. Luckily, I try to keep up on them regularly so they shouldn't be too bad.

  2. I was going to ask you if you'd be interested in doing a post about basic tools needed when you buy your first house. Hubs and I have only lived in an apartment and we know we'll need tools but we're not sure what?

  4. I totally understand crazy schedules but I am glad you are posting this week. We have been dealing with illnesses for weeks so we are coming out of hiding and we are in much need of some sterilizing. Looking forward to some Happy House motivation!
